Launched in 2000 as a tribute to the memory of John Price, Bigs in these programs visit their Littles at their elementary or middle school or at an after school program such as the Boys and Girls Club. Visits are about once per week, and Bigs help their Littles with homework, play sports, do arts and crafts, play board games, or just talk. Activities are usually restricted to the school or site grounds and take place during the school calendar year.

Although Bigs in these programs meet with their Littles only about an hour per week, parents, teachers, and guidance counselors report positive changes in the children in the program. The children, overall, display more self-confidence, are developing more positive attitudes towards school, and are achieving higher grades.
